We are not just a tea company, we are a tea tradition. We empower people with the knowledge, history, culture, and wisdom of tea. This heritage is called Western Immortal. We are glad you have chosen to be a part of our tea tradition!
Why Western Immortal?
Ever since the American Revolution and the Boston Tea Party, America has evolved mostly without tea . Although present, tea was marginalized in the geopolitical climate of the times. Along the way, much of the tradition and value of tea never fully arrived in the west (also leaving behind a large part of the British appreciation for tea). Even the quality of tea started to go down over time – although common access to higher quality teas has improved greatly in recent years. America, relying primarily on coffee as the go to hot beverage, grew to become increasingly faster paced and success driven. Indeed, the United States of America arguably became the leading global pioneer of industry, and eventually the leader of the modern free world. We can thank the resilient and pioneering spirits of so many American men and women for that. While having numerous amazing successes, some less positive side effects have become more apparent with time. The constant pedal to the medal, no pain/no gain, and even cut throat dog-eat-dog conditions have unquestionably given birth to some harsh and unhealthy outcomes (just watch the news!). What can be done to service the American spirit?
Since ancient times, people in the east have known the many benefits to mind, body, and spirit that tea offers. For sure, there are plenty of “far-fetched” legends of miraculous tales of healing. However, on a more down to earth level, many people noticed how tea helped them in their everyday lives. Tea birthed many traditions regarding it’s simple appreciation. Substantial varieties of high-quality tea were produced and enjoyed all over the eastern world. People noticed that there was something truly magical about this plant, and the mindfulness and life force, nay, immortality it seemed to impart.
We would like to offer you a cup of tea, the sublime elixir that people in the east have enjoyed for thousands of years, in the hopes of nurturing the spirits of our fellow modern men and women.
